    1.中國人多,所以中國的牛人多,我一向把這個理解為人口基數問題。還有一個就是“一個中國人是一條龍……”,要知道,聰明也好,智慧也好,體現在一個個體身上,或者由一個對文字有極強的操控能力的人講出來,很容易變成“真理”。最難能可貴的思考本身,就被華麗的言語搶去了不少風頭。

    推薦“小狐貍的古典”。特別推薦《忘了你,不如忘了我》,還有《為何區分智慧之人和道德之人是必要的》。在我感到相當空虛疲乏的時候看到此二篇,著實感動。

    2.每個星期六都回家,都會看《閱讀解碼》,香港電台製作。節目講閱讀,講書本,講許多有趣的事情,還為大家打開名人文人的書柜,看看他們的視野。節目雖不娛樂,但并不枯燥。電影導演喜歡看漫畫,時裝顧問喜歡看名人居家的書,翻譯家喜歡看有關旅遊的書籍……眼看外國出版事業如此蓬勃發達,除了望洋興嘆,就是想要自由——越知道自己身上的枷鎖是什麽的人越自由……

  • there are so many taboo here people would try to classify one as Mainlander (or simply "loud" people...); these acts should be avoided - e.g. speaking loud in public places
  • if you speak Chinese in Yasukuni Shrine, people intend to beat you...

    many people here in Japan ask me, "Chugoku jin [de su ka] ?"
    and then will laugh at you - especially those black guys who know who to speak Japanese (as most of the Mainlanders do not speak Japs)
